Nina Jankowicz, the would-be “disinformation czar” fired by the Department of Homeland Security following public scrutiny, is now officially registered as a foreign agent, according to government records.

Jankowitz, who previously served as executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Management Council, is at the center of the controversy as the Biden administration seeks to censor dissent.
She also suggested that the UK parliament set standards for internet speech, telling it that the UK government could find ways to suppress bad speech, disregarding “free speech and fairy dust”.
Jankowitz has also gained notoriety for her passion for musical theater as a way to express her left-wing politics. She also called herself a “Mary Poppins of disinformation” in a single TikTok post.
However, Jankowicz himself was a source of disinformation, spreading the infamous “Alpha Bank Scam” ahead of the 2016 election, which falsely claimed that then-candidate Donald Trump had financial ties to a Russian bank.
She is now registered as a foreign representative under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) on behalf of the UK’s Center for Information Resilience, an organization that works to combat online disinformation.
We are pleased to announce that disinformation expert Nina Jankowicz (@wiczipedia) has joined the CIR.
Nina will help lead our efforts to combat the distortion of the information space by hostile nations.
She will also start the Hypatia project 👇 https://t.co/420yUrqgsl

The group was only formed in 2020, and one critic pointed to its focus on censorship and openly wondered whether it was “the guillotine for the British government, conducting an information warfare operation at a distance from the nation.”
