Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday on FNC’s “Hannity” that the president of the United States can declassify any document without any process.

“The president has the authority to declassify,” Hannity said.

“Correct,” Trump said.

Hannity said: “You said it many times on the Truth Society, and you did decipher it.”

“I did declassify,” Trump said.

Hanni asked, “What’s your decryption process?”

Trump replied: “As I understand it, there doesn’t have to be a process. You know, different people say different things. As far as I understand, there’s no need. If you’re the president of the United States, you just say ‘declassified’ It can be decrypted. Even by thinking about it. Because you send it to Mar-a-Lago or wherever you send it. There doesn’t have to be a process. There can be a process, but it doesn’t have to be. You’re the president. You make that decision . So when you send it, it’s decrypted. I decrypt everything.”

He added: “I would say there’s a good chance a lot of these documents will never be seen again.”

Trump added: “They spy on my campaign, so why did they come in and do that? Especially since we had such a great conversation.”
